Week One
- October 1 - Love Is.....
1 Corinthians 13:1-13
Learning, knowing and potentially
understanding God's love for us is an important part of being a Christian. But,
applying and displaying God's love through us is the desired outcome. "...they
will know we are Christians by our love..."

Week Two - October
8- Reaching Out Together
1 Corinthians 13:4-6
Colossians 4:5-6
One of the reasons that God
established the Church on Earth was to create a safe place for His followers to
grow in their faith. As together our faith grows there will come a time when we
are called to share that faith with others. Many times God creates opportunities
for us to meet a physical need of others which opens the door for us to be used
by God to meet a spiritual need.

Week Three - October
15 - Belonging Together
1 Corinthians 13:4-7
Genesis 2:18
In our hectic day to day lives,
we often feel as though it is easier to not get involved with personal relationship
with other people (friendship). More and more people seem to have less and less
friends. Since God has created fellowship as a solution for our aloneness, why
do so few people pursue vital relationships with others?

Week Four - October
22- Growing Together
1 Corinthians 13:9-11
Ephesians 4:11-15
Another facet of our Christian walk
is that we should desire to mature spiritually. Biblical knowledge can be accomplished
through personal Bible study; however, at some point we must also put that knowledge
into practice, to continue to grow spiritually. This requires the involvement
of other people in our faith walk. Our local congregations and especially a healthy
small group will be the safest place to begin living out our faith.

Week Five - October
29 - Serving Together
1 Corinthians 13:4-5
1 Peter 4:9-11
Acts 6:1-4
Serving together looks at
expressing God's love by serving others within the church. How can we as Christians
follow the example of the first church as found in Acts 2:44-45 "All the
believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions
and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need."
Note: Serving verses Reaching
Out - there is often confusion about the difference between serving others and
reaching out to others. Both Christian activities are selfless responses to God's
love for us which we extend toward others. The difference is the target. "Reaching
out" targets non-believers while the target of "Serving" is fellow
believers.

Week Six - November
5 - Worshiping Together
Philippians 2:9-11
Psalms 95:1-7a
***This topic may have the
most diversity of views across denominations. Please, do not compromise your doctrinal
stance, nor belittle anyone else's.***
There is One God, worshipped
by every Christian church. Though our practice differs from church to church;
denomination to denomination, the principle remains the same: "One Lord;
One God". And "...at the name of Jesus every knee shall bow, in heaven
and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is
Lord"!
